I just read somewhere that Angelina Jolie is having Reeses Pieces cravings during the last portion of her pregnancy and now I want some Reeses Pieces. This leads me to believe that whatever I was reading was really a subliminal advertisement paid for by Mr. Hershey. Not that I believe in subliminality. Especially where advertising is concerned. Nor do I care what Angelina Jolie is eating, nor that she’s pregnant. Except that I can’t help feeling, rather smugly, that my very knowing what she does eat is somehow my own small, yet significant, slight to her privacy/celebrity. Like, “TAKE THAT! I know what you eat and you don’t even know I exist!!”
